We are looking ahead to the new year and our upcoming CoWorks shows. First up is Lucy Rupert/Blue Ceiling dance‘s dead reckoning opening on January 13 at the Theatre Centre.

Choreographed by Lucy Rupert and Peter Quanz, the work is an investigation of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s account of a disembodied presence who guided him through a near-death experience in his expedition to Antarctica. Using Shackleton’s memoirs and the artists’ personal experiences, the work follows Blue Ceiling’s path of passionate, imaginative and vulnerable performances.

This past month, the company has been busy in the studio working on dead reckoning. Here are some photographs, featuring Elke Schroeder and Sky Fairchild-Waller, documenting the rehearsal process.
